The subject of data protection is a special concern for us, and therefore we would like to familiarise you with the process in wich we record, use and transmit information. In this data-protection declaration, we will therefore explain to you how we proceed regarding information that we or our service providers collect from you by using our website or similar environments – such as mobile websites or apps – that are operated and maintained by us and from which you are accessing this data-protection declaration (all identified in the following as “the website”).

Passive collection and use of informations

If you use this website, specific information may be passively recorded by using various technologies – without you expressly entering it. Such passive recording of informations primarily occurs to the following cases and using the following data: 

Information through your browser: Specific information is typically recorded by browsers and automatically passed on, such as your MAC address (unique device description), the screen resolution, your operating system (Windows, Apple, Android), the version of your operating system, and the type and version of your Internet browser. 

Your IP address: Your IP address is a numerical combination wich is automatically assigned to the computer you are using by your Internet provider. 

Your IP address: your IP adress is automatically recorded in the log files of our web server when a user calls up our website. Without the IP address, communication is impossible between the web server and the user’s computer. If we log and store the visiting time on our website under the IP address, the IP address will in all cases be anonymised so that no reference can be made to you by us.

Device information

We would like to inform you that in the case of the usage of mobile devices, under certain circumstances we record the unique device number (IMEI) – like the MAC address in the case of computers. However, such recording will only occur if it is necessary for providing the respective enlisted service.

Website analysis

Our website uses technologies for website analysis. Using this technology, data is saved and processed for marketing and optimisation purposes. The information required for this is also collected by using cookies. Please also see our cookie information. This website uses Google Analytics, a web-analysis service of Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies”, which are text files that are stored on your computer and facilitate an analysis of how you use the website. Information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is generally transmitted to a Google server in the USA and is still saved there. In the case that IP anonymisation is activated on this website, your IP address will, however, be previously abbreviated by Google within member states of the European Union or in other signatories to the Treaty on the European Economic Area (using the extension “_anonymiseIp()”). Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address transmitted to a Google server in the USA and abbreviated there. On the orders of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to analyse your use of the website in order to compile reports on website activity and to produce further services associated with the use of the website and the Internet for the website operator. The IP address transmitted by your browser within the scope of Google Analystics will not be merged by Google with other data. How we use and pass on information

If necessary and permitted under law, we will pass information collected through our website to the following third parties: All companies that are part of Macnetix GmbH, but only for the purposes explained in this data-protection declaration and within the scope of permitted dissemination. However, we remain the fully responsible authority for the handling of personal data that we use. Our business partners with whom we offer advertising with shared brands and shared marketing. A precondition for this is that the law or your permission allows such dissemination. In addition, before dissemination, the business partners will be contractually obliged to only use the information according to our standards. Service providers that offer services such as web site hosting and moderation, the processing of your reviews of products and services, the hosting of mobile applications, data analysis, payment handling, order handling, the provision of infrastructure, IT services, customer services, delivery services for e-mails and direct advertising, credit-card settlement and audits in order to carry out these services. Here, too, the contractual partners are contractually obliged by us to adhere to legal data-protection standards. Third parties in the case of reorganisations, mergers, sales, joint ventures, assignments, transfers or other provisions regarding our entire company or our entire assets or shares and/or parts of these (for example in association with insolvency proceedings or similar), if legally permitted. Furthermore, information collected through the website will be used by us if necessary to prevent risks to third parties, our company and/or other companies, or if we are obliged to surrender such information by the state, such as in the case of adverse event reports. If we pass information to service providers, they are obliged within the scope of order data processing to only use this information within the scope of our directives and not to pass it to third parties. We take suitable organisational, technical and administrative precautions to protect personal data that is collected and used within our area of responsibility. Use of the website by those not contractually capable users

If the Macnetix website is aimed at adults (or the website allows adults to let their children have information): The website is not aimed at children under the age of 18 years. These persons may only use this website with the agreement of their parent or legal guardien. Otherwise we do not intentionally collect any data from minors unless the parent or legal guardien has given their permission.

Cross-border transmission

Your personal data can be saved and processed in any country in which we maintain branches or use service providers. A precondition for the transfer is the admissibility of the transfer and the adherence to legal conditions of the third-party country transfer. To this end, Macnetix GmbH has tailored your data-protection standards to the European level of data protection (U.S.-EU Safe Harbor Privacy Principles). In addition, standard contractual clauses of the European Commission are used. In this way, we have taken precautions that there are levels of data protection that conform to EU law at the recipient of your data.

Sensitive information

If we do not expressly request or ask you for, please do not give us any information regarding your ethnic origin, your political convictions, your faith or other religious orientation, your health, any previous convictions or membership of any trade unions.
